Job Description
As a Project Engineer in the chemical industry you will take a pivotal role in the planning, execution, and management of our chemical engineering projects. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
- Prepare detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Perform process design, including PFDs and P&IDs.
- Select and procure equipment and materials required for projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and HAZOP analyses.
- Oversee the execution of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and adjust plans as necessary.
- Lead project teams, including contractors and suppliers, to ensure successful project delivery.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and engineering specifications.
- Provide technical support during project commissioning and start-up.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to their professional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5 years of experience in project engineering in the chemical industry.
- Strong knowledge of safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Problem-solving aptitude and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
